About the client
FORUM ELECTRO is a comprehensive supplier of electrical, cable and wire products, lighting, installation materials and equipment. Their assortment includes over 200,000 products, and the number is constantly growing.
Project objectives
  • Implementation of an online store for electrical equipment with extended capabilities for working in the B2B segment;
  • Development of a tool that can solve customers' problems with selecting and purchasing equipment and products.
Solution

Work on the large-scale internet project was carried out in several stages. Before starting to create the online store project, we conducted preparatory work. It included discussing the project with representatives of interested departments: marketing, procurement, logistics, warehouse, and company executives.

As a result of the analysis, we learned:

  • detailed information about the company,

  • key features of the target audience,

  • specifics of the industry,

  • sales peculiarities.

Based on the information obtained, we set the goals and objectives of the project and developed a work plan.


Design

The design of the online store was created in accordance with the company's brand style. The main page, catalogs with filters, product cards, personal account, and recommendation block are all designed in a consistent style, using a white background, gray, and warm orange color. In the product catalog, each category is marked with a separate icon depicting tools and equipment that can be purchased in that section. This helps the user to better navigate the website.


Based on the initial information, the DOTSENKO.PRO team created a unique system that became an indispensable tool for both customers and company employees. 

With the help of this system, it is possible to:

  • Select the necessary products online;

  • Find analog or compatible items using a flexible filtering system;

  • Control payments through financial document flow;

  • Receive notifications about the arrival of necessary products in the warehouse;

  • Calculate the cost of delivery;

  • Check the availability of products from suppliers;

  • Take advantage of a flexible discount system.

The project's features include:

Automatic creation of a shopping cart from .XLS files

Adding a long list of products can be time-consuming and inconvenient. This function allows you to upload the necessary list of products from a file in just a few clicks. Up to 500 items can be uploaded at once.

Organization's personal account

It was developed to simplify interaction between the client and the contractor. It displays all necessary documents, such as contracts, invoices, and acts.

Draft block

When working with B2B clients, it is essential to save time. With the Draft block, the client can create a typical order and repeat it as needed.

Cart block

There are situations when corporate clients take a long time to decide on purchasing products or want to pay for the product in different ways. For such cases, several carts were created with links to different objects.


Outcome
We have created an online store with a wide range of products. Active interaction with the client at all stages of project development allowed us to create a website that is as user-friendly as possible, with understandable user scenarios. As of today, FORUM ELECTRO online store is operating permanently and receiving positive feedback.
